Challenges
Limited Cross-Channel Reporting and Time-Consuming Report Creation
33social outgrew Looker Studio (previously Google Data Studio) when they needed to report on multiple marketing channels beyond Google Ads. Comparing paid social campaigns on Facebook and Instagram with Google campaigns became increasingly difficult.
Manually pulling data, processing it, and formatting reports took hours, slowing down workflows. The team needed a solution that could integrate multiple platforms, provide clear insights, and streamline reporting.
Solution
Automated Cross-Channel Reports with Faster Customization
33social turned to Whatagraph for its direct integrations and cross-channel analytics capabilities. With Whatagraph’s API-powered data processing, they could seamlessly compare Google Ads, Facebook, and Instagram performance in one place.
“We are now able to successfully report on platforms outside of Google platforms alongside the Google reporting," says Robin Steele, Founder and President at 33social
Whatagraph also helped speed up report creation with reusable templates and saved report elements. Instead of spending hours building reports from scratch, the team could now generate new reports in under 30 minutes.
“Initially, [one report] took a few hours. Now that we are able to save team templates and save individual report boxes, we can create new reports in less than 30 minutes," explains Robin.
Results
Faster Insights, Improved Social Reporting, and Strategic Growth
With Whatagraph, 33social gained clearer insights into social media performance that were previously hard to extract. Social platforms often provide limited reporting, but Whatagraph allowed them to analyze top-performing posts over time, helping them identify key engagement trends.
“The social platforms have historically terrible reporting. Whatagraph allows us to look at the top posts for various periods of time, allowing us to get a sense of what is resonating with viewers at that time,” raves Robin.
One insight led 33social to adjust their content strategy. By analyzing social post performance, they discovered that engagement on green grass lawn images peaked in early spring—not summer. This allowed them to strategically plan posts for maximum engagement at the start of the year.
Looking ahead, 33social plans to fully transition from Google Data Studio once Whatagraph’s filtering capabilities are expanded. They’re also exploring new opportunities to monetize their analytics expertise by offering data dashboards to clients—powered by Whatagraph.
