Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a Quora API?
Yes, Quora provides a Conversion API (CAPI) that allows you to send events—such as website visits, app installs, and offline conversions—directly to Quora Ads Manager.
It’s useful for improving things like conversion tracking, attribution, and ROAS, but here’s the catch: it’s built for developers.
To use it, you’ll need to set up server-side tracking, generate access tokens, and handle things like click IDs and event parameters.
If you don’t have a development background, this process can be complex and time-consuming.
With Whatagraph, you don’t need to touch any of that. We connect directly to the Quora Ads API for you, so you can automatically pull all your ad performance data — without writing a single line of code or working with API.
From there, you can visualize your key metrics on a live dashboard, blend Quora Ads data with other platforms, and create fully white-labeled reports for clients in minutes.
Can I run ads on Quora?
Yes, Quora offers a self-serve advertising platform called Quora Ads. Here, you can create and manage ads that reach Quora's audience of over 400 million monthly unique visitors.
To get started, you can create a Quora Ads Manager account. The platform provides various ad formats, including:
Text Ads: Simple ads that appear alongside Quora content.
Image Ads: Visual ads designed to stand out on Quora's text-centric platform.
Video Ads: Engaging video content to tell your brand's story.
Promoted Answers: Boosted answers that showcase your expertise and link back to your offerings.
Lead Generation Forms: Forms integrated into ads to capture user information directly on Quora.
App Installs: Ads that drive users to download your mobile application.
These ad formats help you build brand awareness, drive website traffic, and generate leads.
How much do Quora ads cost?
Quora Ads works on a bidding system, so the final cost depends on your targeting and how competitive your ad placements are. You can choose from three main bidding options:
Cost per Click (CPC) – You only pay when someone clicks your ad. Minimum bid: $0.01.
Cost per Impression (CPM) – You pay per 1,000 ad views. Minimum bid: $0.20.
Conversion Optimized – You set a target cost per action (CPA), and Quora optimizes your campaign to hit it. (This requires the Quora Pixel and at least 20 conversions per ad set.)
Billing starts at $25 USD and increases as your ad account matures. You’re charged when you hit your billing threshold or at the start of the month…whichever comes first.
If you prefer monthly invoicing, Quora offers that too through its Customer Success team.
That being said, this user on Quora said you should put aside at least $5 per day at a minimum to run ads on Quora.
Are Quora ads worth it?
Like all things in marketing, the answer is: it depends.
For some advertisers, Quora Ads offer a great return. Low CPCs, highly searchable content, and an audience that’s actively asking questions make it an appealing platform, especially for startups looking for affordable traffic or leads during the research phase of a customer’s journey.
One founder described it as “best bang for your buck” because users were already searching for solutions, and the platform brought in both free and paid traffic that converted well.
But not everyone has the same experience.
Some marketers have seen high impressions, lots of clicks, BUT zero conversions. When they dug into the numbers, they found signs of click spam, low-quality engagement, and bounce rates that raised eyebrows.
Others have pointed out that while Quora has a highly educated audience, it’s not always one with buying intent. And without strong moderation, some worry about brand safety when ads appear alongside low-quality or controversial content.
So, are Quora Ads worth it?
They can be…if your targeting is sharp and your messaging is on point.
As one marketer put it: Quora is just a delivery system. If your ad is poorly targeted or your message falls flat, no platform will save it. But if you’ve done your research and know exactly who you’re speaking to, and what they care about, Quora can be an effective top- or mid-funnel tool.
How do I integrate with the Quora Ads API on Whatagraph?
You don’t need to manually integrate with the Quora Ads API on Whatagraph.
Our native Quora Ads connector brings in all your data from Quora Ads directly to your reports. That means no coding, no authentication flows, and no need to set up custom connectors. Just log into your Quora Ads account through Whatagraph, choose the data sources you want to report on, and start building your reports.
From there, you can also blend Quora Ads data with other platforms like Google Ads or Facebook, create custom metrics, and generate fully white-labeled reports, all in a few clicks (and no headaches).
What others think about Whatagraph
I made a switch from GDS and Sheets for reporting to Whatagraph, and I am saving literal hours each week on performance report creation. Our small firm actually managed to onboard 2 new clients as a result of all the time we saved on managing data and reporting. The customer service is also really helpful and easy to reach.
Having active customer support to help fix any issues was a big contributor, but we also really liked the ability to save templates and connect sources to multiple charts/widgets at once without having to edit them individually. And having the grid layout is much easier to stay consistent with than the free form setup that Data Studio has.
The system has standard templates that are easy and fast to use. Also you can build your own report with lightning speed. It is very easy to use, has a lot of integration, and let get started very fast.
We love Whatagraph - we would definitely recommend and our account manager is great! I love how easy this tool is to use, everyone on the team finds it much more user-friendly than other dashboards. Integration was easy, we sent some example reports to the team who duplicated these for us. We literally had to log in and send it to our clients!
We are showing our clients the work that we're doing for them and this is incredibly important for our clients ROI. They want to see results and having a tool like Whatagraph that can show data from virtually every source we use is hugely important.
The tool is easy to use; you do not need to have development resources. Even my junior project managers are capable of making campaign reports in minutes. There are a lot of pre-made templates you can use as well as many pre-made widgets.
Really easy to connect data sources within the tool. The library of report templates has been helpful. The customer support team has been responsive to all of our needs. Our team enjoys the simplicity of setting up the reports and how the data is presented.
